Hull lining — what is it?
Hull lining (vaigrage) is the interior covering of a boat's hull — the panels that cover the sides, ceiling and floor of the cabin. Its role is both aesthetic and technical: it dresses the interior while providing acoustic and thermal insulation against the hull.
Well-fitted lining radically transforms onboard comfort. It reduces hull noise, stabilises cabin temperature and gives the interior the refined look of a high-end living space.
Hull, engine and wave noise is absorbed. The cabin becomes quiet and restful, even under way.
The foam interlayer creates a thermal barrier between hull and cabin. Less condensation, stable temperatures summer and winter.

Cutting, covering and bonding from the templates. Every piece is meticulously crafted before installation on the boat
Fitting and fastening on board
Panel placement, fine adjustment of cuts, fastening with marine clips or stainless screws depending on configuration. The joints are invisible.
Finishing and final inspection
Checking flatness, joins and watertightness in sensitive areas. The cabin is delivered clean and ready to use.

What is a boat's hull lining?
Hull lining is the interior covering of the hull and bulkheads, in marine fabric, faux leather, leather or technical foam. It improves the aesthetics, comfort and acoustic/thermal insulation of the cabin.
Does hull lining really improve insulation?
Yes, considerably. Well-fitted lining reduces condensation, dampens hull noise and stabilises interior temperature — a real comfort gain, both under way and at anchor.
